Bangladesh Supreme Court – Record Building
Background:
The Bangladesh Supreme Court Record Building houses important legal documents and sensitive records, making fire protection a critical requirement. This is one of NCSL’s large and significant fire protection projects, involving the protection of valuable records and critical institutional facilities.
Challenges:
The primary challenge was protecting irreplaceable documents from fire without exposing them to the secondary damage that can result from conventional water based suppression. The system needed to provide rapid detection and effective suppression while maintaining the safety and integrity of the record rooms.
Solution:
NCSL implemented a comprehensive Rapidrop, Novec™ clean agent fire suppression system, comprising 173 × 140-liter cylinders, supported by 48 Hochiki extinguishing control panels and 520 detectors, Fire Doors. The integrated solution provides reliable detection and automatic suppression, helping safeguard the Supreme Court’s valuable records and facilities. The project reflects NCSL’s capability to deliver specialized, large scale fire protection solutions for critical institutions.
